Killer Mike, the 48-year-old rapper, was escorted in handcuffs from the Grammys after clinching three awards for the Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance for 'Scientists & Engineers,' and Best Rap Album for 'Michael.'
According to CNN Earlier this morning, The Los Angeles Police Department revealed that Michael Render, known as Killer Mike, faced a misdemeanor battery charge.
He was detained and handcuffed due to a physical altercation near the Crypto.com Arena on Chick Hearn Court, adjacent to the Grammy venue.
Following his arrest, he was taken to the LAPD Central Division and was in the process of being released on Sunday evening.
Despite this legal situation, CNN has reached out to Killer Mike's representatives for any comments. Notably, the 48-year-old rapper had secured three Grammy victories, including Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song for "Michael" and "Scientists and Engineers."
